Carrie Diaries Caps & Old Jack’s Boat & Twitter

The exciting bit first: Freema has joined twitter! Over the years there have been a few fake accounts but now it’s official Freema really has joined twitter. Go follow her #FreemaOfficial.

I have added caps of episodes two and three of The Carrie Diaries to the gallery. Links and a description of next week’s episode 1.04 “Fright Night” are below. A promo is available on youtube. Also, a reminder that you can still catch Old Jack’s Boat on the BBC iplayer.

When Carrie is invited to a Halloween party in the city by Larissa, she decides to invite Walt to go with her to keep her company. It doesn’t take long before the night goes awry and Carrie is forced to babysit Larissa, who has clearly taken too many drugs. Walt finds himself in an uncomfortable position after a party guest gets a little too close for comfort. Elsewhere, Maggie convinces Mouse to go with her to Sebastian’s Halloween party at the diner to help keep tabs on him. After Doritt’s attempt to sneak out of the house is thwarted, she discovers hanging out with her father isn’t so bad.

Carrie Diaries 1.01 Caps Added

The Carrie Diaries finally aired its first episode on Monday. After Law & Order UK’s long absence Freema is finally back on our TV screens once a week. The show has received mixed reviews and I have to admit that it’s not really for me. However, Freema is lovely in it, as always and it is a joy to have her back on the telly. Screen captures from the episode have been added to the gallery. You can read about next week’s episode below or have a look at the promo on youtube.

New couple Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) and Sebastian (Austin Butler) can’t seem to catch a break. Between being grounded and rival Donna’s (Chloe Bridges) sneaky attempts to break them apart, Carrie worries Sebastian will lose interest in her. Desperate for some alone time with him, Carrie must lie to her father (Matt Letscher) and bail on plans with her sister Doritt (Stefania Owen.) Maggie’s (Katie Findlay) obsession with having sex drives a wedge between her and Walt (Brenden Dooling.) Meanwhile, Larissa (Freema Agyman) wants to do a photo shoot with Carrie’s purse for Interview magazine forcing Carrie to scramble to make it work.

New Event Images in the Gallery

As promised the gallery has been updated with images from events Freema attended in the last few weeks. Back in October the premiere episode of The Carrie Diaries was shown at the New York Television Festival and the cast appeared at a panel for the show during the cw Winter TCA. Speaking to TV Guide Freema said the following about her character:

My character is not in the book, but the part is fabulous – Larissa is completely our executive producer’s creation. She will drag Carrie the whole way with her and it probably will be bumpy and rocky along the way. I don’t know if she’ll get Carrie into trouble, but I do know that at my audition, the network wanted to see if I could deal with the drama that was coming up, as well as the comedy, so I take it she’s going to have some downs and ups.

Freema and costar Annasophia Robb were seen filming scenes for the Carrie Diaries pilot in New York City yerterday. I’m not too wild about the costume choices but Freema looks stunning as always and seems to have a great time on set. An official promo picture of Annasophia’s Carrie has already been released hopefully one of Freema will follow soon.

Freema Joins “The Carrie Diaries”

Congratulations to Freema for being cast in a new CW pilot! Freema has joined “The Carrie Diaries” a Sex and the City prequel set in the 1980s. The young Carrie Bradshaw will be played by AnnaSophia Robb.

The project, based on Candace Bushnell’s novel, chronicles Carrie Bradshaw’s (AnnaSophia Robb) coming of age in the 1980s when she asks her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan. Dooling will play Carrie’s best guy friend who is most likely gay but doesn’t know it yet as it isn’t an easy thing to come to terms with in the mid-1980s. Also cast in the pilot is Freema Agyeman as Larissa, Carrie’s mentor, a hip, cutting-edge editor/party girl who works at Interview magazine.

Shooting for the pilot is already underway and pictures of Freema on set will be added shortly. I’m not familiar with Sex and the City and the show is not what I normally go for but it’s great that Freema found work in the States. I’m still a little sad, though, that ITV has decided not to continue Law & Order: UK.

FreemaWeb is Back!

FreemaWeb.Org was down for a while and I apologize for all the downtime and confusion. The important thing is that we are back and will stay here. However, our old domain expired and is now no longer available. So, the url has changed from [dot]com to [dot]org.

There are some changes and updates coming soon including a brand new layout. The gallery will also be updated. I’m very glad we’re back and I hope you are too.

L&O: UK Series 6 Caps

I have finally been able to add screen captures of series six of law & Order: UK to the gallery. The first two episode have already aired on BBC America the previous weeks. Hopefully I will be able to caps of this week’s episode as well. It’s weird not seeing Jamie Bamber as Matt Devlin but in my opinion Paul Nicholls’ DS Sam Casey is a good addition to the cast. Below you can find the episode description for 6×03 Haunted.

When a petty criminal makes a deathbed confession to the murder of a teenage girl, Ronnie is left shaken to the core as he is forced to reopen a case he thought he had put to bed fourteen years ago.
Premieres October 12th at 9/8c.

Law & Order UK on BBC America Tonight

BBC America started broadcasting new episodes of Law & Order: UK in August. As has been the case with previous seasons, BBC America prefers to show episodes in batches of 13 instead of 6/7 as ITV does in the UK. BBC America puts two ITV series together so that they arrive at that 13 episode season, showing them back to back. In August they started showing what they in the US call season 3 (the 13 episodes of ITV series 5 and 6 put together). Tonight they have arrived at episode 7 Survivor’s Guilt which hasn’t aired in the UK – and probably won’t air there until at least February 2012. That’s not really anything new. In past years episodes have aired in Canada way before they were then broadcast in the UK. It’s still a difficult concept to wrap one’s head around given that Law & Order UK is a British show.

Anyways, I hope to be adding screencaps of the episode tomorrow. Episode six saw Matt getting show and episode seven will introduce his replacement Sam Casey played by Paul Nicholls.
